Havana, Cuba - Spring 2017 Travel Journal
If you have been following along on social media, you know that we went to Havana, Cuba at the beginning of May! Here are a few of the images I took during the trip and a few words I wrote during my last night there:
To me, the word "Havana" sounds like a breath. It comes out in an exhale, a word that forces itself out of your mouth as if it were only a puff of air, but it dances and moves as it passes through your lips in a way that makes you feel the weight of it's romance. I think what I was seeking in this my time here, to capture that breath, this romance of the fleeting. And I would say that I've been romanced by that in the few short days I've been here. From the pulse of the city continuing to beat in the middle of the night, to the welcome breeze that sweeps through the streets as the shadows become long and the sun sets...these things have drawn me in, captivated me, and made me want more. I look forward to another trip in the future and hold these memories dear.
Honestly, I didn't take very many images on this trip, I kept my camera tucked away and mostly enjoyed the moments I got to be a part of. In addition to the ones you see here, a limited number of these images are available as prints as well, click here to purchase a few for your home or as gifts! Prints will be available for purchase until the end of May!
