My #1 Engagement Session Tip - Kimberly + Andrew - Atlanta, Georgia Engagement Photography
There are a plethora of tips out there when it comes to preparing for your engagement session, most of them centered around what to wear and location. These things are very important in leading up to the session itself, but in my opinion, there is really only one tip that I can give that makes perfect sense day of: focus on each other.
Through our busy schedules, it is hard to really be intentional about having quality time with your partner. An engagement session is a good opportunity to put the phone, the schedule, the to-do list far out of your mind and remember why you fell in love with the person in front of you. So don't worry too much about posing or whether or not you have been behind the camera before. Our job when capturing your engagement session is to photograph your love and your relationship. By focusing on each other, you will be the most comfortable and the resulting images will be more natural. After the session, I even encourage couples to continue focusing on each other throughout the day by going on a nice date or spending time chatting about what they love about each other.
Kimberly and Andrew really embraced this tip and I couldn't be more ecstatic about the resulting images. They are natural, romantic, flirty, and fun (just like I know their relationship to be). I am thrilled to celebrate with them next year when they tie the knot and can't wait to see what the future holds for these adorable people!
