2015 Highlight Reel Part I - Atlanta, Georgia Photographer

This year, I have really taken to Instagram. I still have a Facebook, but to me, when it comes to creating a positive, human connection through social media, Instagram is the clear winner. As I explored my love for this platform, what it meant to truly curate a gallery and a brand, I discovered my work got better. From visualizing and really internalizing what I found beautiful about the world in one online gallery, my work became more consistent, vivid, and meaningful in ways that I never could have expected.

This year has brought many other good things (like Instagram and a community of wonderful creatives), but it has also brought many challenging things. I work full time during the day and my photography business is my second job. Therefore, I find myself working from 5 AM to midnight almost daily. The dream is to someday transition to full time photography, but I am just not there yet. Despite having limited time, the business is still growing faster than I have ever imagined could be possible. In less than a year and a half since we officially opened, we have had over 200 clients and continue to book more and more new clients every day. I believe that this growth is because I really and truly love my clients. I am forever grateful to be invited into real life-changing experiences and share in beautiful, tearful, and joyful memories. I cherish these memories like my own and will treasure them always. Here are a few of my favorites from 2015 and a little bit about their stories.
My niece in her backyard, hair blowing in the wind, and all but staring into my soul.
The beautiful wedding of Nigel and Alicia in Decatur, GA. The whole day was absolutely perfect.
Baby Kate, a little miracle.
Tiffany, owner of T-Marie designs, who has the best laugh and is such an encouragement to me.
Our friends Colin and Landon invited us to be their wedding photographers and we cried from the beauty of it all.

When the Mols family asked me to photograph their maternity, newborn, and then milestone session with their beautiful baby boy Thomas before they moved away to Seattle.
Savannah, who has the most joyful, genuine, and kind spirit and allowed me into her life during this season of waiting for her second child.
Baby Quinn, who reminded me that at one time my feet were this small in my daddy's hands.
Deepa and Pat invited me to celebrate their first year of marriage and first home together!
I got lost in these eyes.
I convinced Laura and Josh that the empty lot next to their house would be beautiful and it was.
Baby Mila, who I met when she was still in her mommy's tummy and now has a laugh that I will always remember.
I knew June when she was very little and now she is a big girl with the most beautiful laugh.
Kimberly and Andrew have a sweet love like no other. We danced and laughed in the garden that day.
This image will be one of my favorites for a long time. A proud sister showing off the new baby!
I can still hear the laughter of Ashley and Spencer during maternity session by the river.
The memory of this hand hold between siblings will stay with me for a long time.
