A little bit about me…
I was born and raised in the South, but I don't have an accent. I am a photographer, dreamer, mother, maker of crafty things, and believer. My love for photography really began in 2009, when I started photographing dancers; I had always loved ballet and the beautiful movements the body can make through dance. Since then, I have expanded my portfolio to include all the beautiful chapters, or movements, that a person can make through life, including newborn, family, and wedding stories.

A little bit about my family…
We went to high school together. Tyler thought I was "out of his league" and I thought he was the cutest boy I had ever seen. This was before everyone had cell phones and before texting was a thing, so I used to make my parents drive me to the ice cream shop where he worked so I could enjoy some rocky road and the view of the cute boy behind the counter. We never got together then, that's not how our story starts. We parted ways and went to different colleges.
It wasn't until a few years later, when I happened to transfer to the same college, that we met again. That fateful day in the coffee aisle at Kroger, I was too shy to say hello, so I whispered to the friend I was with "that's Tyler, I had a HUGE crush on him in high school," and of course she yells "HEY TYLER!!"
hen there was some exchange of numbers, a close friendship, a perfect date, more dates, a painting made by Tyler of a huge field of sunflowers with a note that said "I wanted to propose to you in a sunflower field, but I couldn't wait that long (because it's February)," and then an exchange of rings, a beautiful marriage, and now a growing family.
And in June of 2014 when I wanted to start pursuing photography as more than a hobby, Tyler was nothing but supportive, and even got the whole business side off the ground while I photographed everything I could. It wasn't until about six months in that I realized the power of the work we were doing. We were not only capturing images, above all, we were answering the most unanswerable question in life: "how can I keep this moment and remember it forever?" That moment when I saw Tyler for the first time at the end of the aisle on our wedding day and felt overjoyed, and that moment when we held our son for the first time and we cried together, how can I keep that?
The reality is that I can't and the memories I have are never as complete as I want them to be. But then the beauty is that through photography, these memories are brought back to life and actually made whole by the time that has passed. So not only as photographers, do we get to preserve memories, but those moments are made sweeter with time.
Our greatest hope is that we can gift you with that sweetness. As time passes and you look back on your images, we hope that you taste the sugar that time has added to your memories and keep that story close to your heart.
And always, always, say hello if you run into someone by chance in the grocery store.
